Center for Khorasanology

This important research center had been established in 1996 by Astan Quds Razavi to carry out specialized research in the history, geography, culture, customs, dialects and various other heritage of the historical and ancient province of Khorasan. This research centre has started its activities through nine specialized departments, including.
1. Imam Reza (A.S.) Department.
2. History and Historical Geography Department.
3. Culture and Anthropology Department.
4. Social Research Department.
5. Cultural Luminaries Department.
6. History of Civilization and Archeology Department.
7. Khorasan and Central Asia Cultural Affinities Studies Department.
8. The Khorasan Literature Department.
9. The Traditional Arts Department.
This research center has till now conducted many scientific seminars attended by leading scholars and scientists. It also regularly publishes a quarterly journal in Persian along with its abstracts in Russian and English. A number of research plans and books for example the compilation of the "Astan Quds Razavi Encyclopedia" are under process in this research center.
