Qur’anic heritage & Islamic culture has reached a transition point. Muslims of the world are turning away from the Qur’anic doctrine & thoughts resulting in the present scenario of the world which is being engulfed in chaos, conflict, unrest, secret killings and so on.
At this crucial juncture, worldwide monumental Qur’anic reawakening like a torrential force is extremely essential to eliminate all evil activities which are harmful to mankind. The existing scenario of the world has inspired the establishment of a permanent World Society for creating awareness about holy Qur’an among the people of the world. With the blessings of Merciful Allah, a small stone has been laid called “Al-Qur’an Research Academy”. The Academy formally came into being on 24th January, 2001 with a small group of dedicated scholars.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES
a) One of the prime aims & objectives of Al-Qur’an Research Academy is to further spread the wide range of knowledge available from Qur’an and to make
efforts to engulf a larger participation.
b) Several creative & constructive steps are to be taken to accelerate the research work program on Al-Qur’an and Modern Science.
c) To uphold the divine message of the Holy Qur’an in Bangladesh and all over the world by creating Internet websites and through extensive research programs.
d) To create awareness about the Holy Qur’an among the people and young generation of Bangladesh and the rest of the world through arrangement of Qur’an Exhibitions, Seminars, etc.
e) To publish journals & books on research based works on the Glorious Qur’an.
f) To establish necessary contacts and correspondence with different organizations of the world for expansion of our knowledge as well as exchange of our views and thoughts in connection to the Holy Qur’an.
g) To organize Seminars, Symposiums on the Divine Qur’an at National & International levels.
h) To introduce awards among the scholars for their oustanding contributions to Al-Qur’an, Islam and Modern Science.
i) We are planning to establish a Qur’an Museum in Bangladesh. For this we need a sizable land of 10 to 12 acres and financial help from home and abroad. According to our planning the following subjects will be included in the Qur’an Museum:
1. Al-Qur’an Museum main building
2. Al-Qur’an Library
3. Two lecture & Conference Halls
4. A School for Qur’anic studies
5. Four Exhibition Galleries of different sizes & dimensions
6. Residence Hall for local and Foreign students
7. Teachers Residence building
8. A Mosque
We hope this will be the first Qur’an Museum of its kind in Bangladesh as well as in Asia. To implement this great task we appeal to all benevolent brothers at home and abroad. May Allah help us to establish this Qur’an Museum for the expansion of inner knowledge on the Glorious Qur’an among the Muslim Ummah and rest of the world Muslim community.
Last September, 2001 through Al-Qur’an Research Academy an Exhibition on the Glorious Qur’an has been organized at the main exhibition Gallery of Bangladesh National Museum, Dhaka. Nearly ten thousand people from different parts of Bangladesh visited the Qur’an exhibition. The main purpose of this exhibition was to create awareness about Holy Qur’an among the young generation of Bangladesh and rest of the world. This was a most successful Qur’an Exhibition. The Cultural Office of the Iranian Embassy at Dhaka provided logistic support in the said Qur’an Exhibition. This Qur’an Exhibition was the first in the history of Bangladesh. In this regard we have released two CDs on the Glorious Qur’an Exhibition and a large size Souvenir containing 184 pages.
Al-Qur’an Research Academy is a non-political and non-profit organization purely based on the guidance and essence of Holy Qur’an.
MEMBERS OF ADVISORY COUNCIL
1. Dr. Muhammad Mohar Ali: Former Professor of the history of Islam in South Asia, Research Center, Imam Muhammad Ibn Sa’ud Islamic University, K.S.A.King Faisal International prize laureate. Received the award in May, 2000 for his book History of the Muslims of Bengal. One of the outstanding scholars on Qur’an & Islam.
2. Dr. M. Shamsher Ali: Former Vice Chancellor Bangladesh Open University, Fellow-Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, Fellow Islamic Academy Of Sciences, Jordan, Fellow Third world Academy Of Sciences, Italy, Chairman, Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought. One of the outstanding scholars on Qur’an & Modern Science.
3. Dr. M. Mustafizur Rahman: Vice Chancellor, Islamic University Kushtia, Bangladesh. Obtained Ph.D. from University of London in 1970 on the first available completed monumental Qur’anic Tafsir of Imam Al-Maturidi entitled “Tawilat Ahl Al-Sunnah. One of the outstanding scholars on Qur’an.
4. Shah Abdul Hannan: Chairman, Islamic Bank Bangladesh. Former Governor, Bangladesh Bank. One of the outstanding scholars on Islam & Qur’an.
5. Z.H.Qutubuddin: Former Member Bangladesh Public Service Commission. One of the outstanding scholars on Islam , Sufism & Qur’an.
6. Sayyid Ashraf Ali: Director General Islamic Foundation Bangladesh. Author of over 1000 articles and many books on Islam. A prominent scholar on Islam.
7. Major (Retd) M. Murad Ali Khan: Former Director Bangladesh Forest Industries Development Corporation. Has undertaken active role in various social activities like foundation of High Schools in villages & urban areas for expansion of primary education and also established mosques in villages. Dedicated to work for Islam & Qur’an.
Al-Qur’an Research Academy Library possess over 5000 books on Holy Qur’an Islam & Modern Science. Our slogan is “QUR’AN IS KNOWLEDGE AND KNOWLEDGE IS POWER”.
