Holy Qur'an: A Guide for Mankind
The Holy Qur’an - is a book revealed by Allah to His Messenger, Muhammad (SAW). This holy book has been revealed in Arabic and is one of the Miracles of the Prophet (SAW). It is a book of guidance.
One of the reasons for the miraculousness of the Qur’an is its artistic aspect in the form of fluency and eloquence, combined with a charm which penetrates the hearts and wins them over. The fact that infidels called the Prophet (SAW) a magician was an implied confession that their eloquence could not match the timeless wisdom of the words of the Qur’an.
The second aspect of the miraculousness of the Qur’an is in its content and spiritual aspects. If we study the divine subjects of the Qur’an, its logic about Resurrection and the Prophets, or its philosophy of history and ethics, we would realize how great it is.
These are matters in which the Qur’an has a mission, and that is to guide human beings.
The Qur’an has another miraculous aspect which is it’s predictions, a subject which requires many sessions to discuss. Below are some important points regarding the holy Qur’an:
1. The Qur’an was revealed to the Prophet (SAW) over a period of 23 years on different occasions, and there is no doubt regarding its authenticity.
The Qur’an which was revealed to the Prophet (SAW) is the same Qur’an that is in our hands today, and there have been no changes in this Sacred Book. The revelation of this Sacred Book is a miracle as said above and nobody can ever bring a book or even one Verse (Aya) or a sentence with eloquence comparable to that of Holy Book. Completion of this Book took 23 years, and it was compiled on the instructions of the Prophet (SAW) himself.
