Qazwin City during the Safavid Period

The age-old city of Qazvin is erected in a vast land with a background of ten millennia of dwelling place and contained in itself a great deal of eminent works that belong to the far millennium. This city enjoyed a special place in the Safavid era and was the capital of the Safavid empire.
The rapid development of the region and considerable changes in the fields of architecture and urbanism along with the advent of various schools of thought, jurisprudence, art, science and literature made the Qazvin city of Safavid era as the centre of political and intellectual activities and attracted the attention of many historians ,tourists and researchers of the culture and history of Iran toward itself .
The organizers of the International Congress on Qazvin in Safavid era hope to provide an opportunity for the esteemed Iranologists and researchers in order to explore this period of the history of Iran once again and present the achievements of their academic studies and researches to those who are interested in culture and virtue .

Note on the Papers:
The papers should be methodic, innovative and analytic along with references to the authentic sources. The abstracts should not be more than 2 pages of A4 in Persian and English languages in XP word 2000. The papers should be sent to the secretariat of the Congress and the accepted ones in maximum twenty pages should be sent to the secretariat of the Congress till 22 the September 2006 . It is necessary to write down postal address, telephone and fax numbers at the end of the papers.
Meanwhile the deadline for sending the abstract for the Congress is extended to the 20th July 2006
