The seminary is named after Imam Ali (a) the first infallible Imam after Prophet Muhammad. He was a unique person in every facet of life. From being a great warrior who was never defeated to an illustrious general who never lost, and from being a remarkable statesman to a teacher of wisdom, philosophy and morality who was known for his worship and piety, he was indeed a complete role model. And it is from this great personality that the seminary gets its inspiration and guiding spirit.
The faith, values, morals and virtues expressed in Imam Ali’s life stand in sharp contrast to the disintegrating codes of conduct in today’s world. And this is what Imam Ali Seminary wishes to revive through teaching Islam in the unique traditional methodology that has been handed down to us by the Imams.
The purpose of the Seminary is to educate and prepare its students to lead the people through education and example whereby preparing the grounds for the coming of our awaited Imam, Imam Mahdi (a), the fulfillment of God’s promise.
In pursuing its purpose and mission, the seminary incorporates into its programs the spiritual, personal, intellectual, and professional components of a rigorous theological education, essential for effective Islamic scholarship.
Imam Ali Seminary’s educational program bears witness to the beliefs, heritage and practices of Islam as thought by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s) and expounded by his holy Ahlul Baith (his progeny).

As of now, we are in a facility that has a capacity of housing 8 students. We currently have 3 students learning full time. There is a separate building for the office, classrooms and library. On top of this, we have a 75 acre property where, inshallah, we would like to build a permanent home for the Imam Ali seminary.
