Prophet Yooshe (a.s.)

Prophet Yooshe a.s, son of hazrat AFRAIM IBN YUSUF IBN YAQUB IBN IS'HAQ IBN IBRAHIM. Yooshe a.s at the age of 97 became the successor of hazrat Moosa a.
He is among the great prophets of humanity. This prophet is from the sons of hazrat AFRAIM IBN YUSUF IBN YAQUB IBN IS'HAQ IBN IBRAHIM. Yooshe a.s in the age of 97 became the successor of hazrat Moosa a.s.
Hazrat Yooshe a.s lived for 120 years. He had a broad chest, middle height and spoke Hebrew language. For 23 years he preached his people and invited people to the religion of Hazrat Moosa a.s.
Allah commanded Yooshe a.s to lead the Bani-israel to pass from the river of Jorden and guide them to the holy place and divide Syria, Canaan(Canaanis an ancient term for a region roughly corresponding to present-day Israel/Palestine including the West Bank, western Jordan, southern and coastal Syria and Lebanon continuing up to the border of modern Turkey.)and Baithul Moqaddas(Jerusalem)among them.
Guide them according to the religious laws and ways taught by Hazrat Moosa a.s.
Hazrat Yooshe. By the order of Allah Ta'ala he gave Command to the clans of Bani Isreal to gather their weapons and follow him.
After crossing river Jorden they reached Jaljaal where he circumcised all men .After six days they conquered the city IRIJA.
Prophet Yooshe a.s said this is the sanctuary of God. He advised to be humble and seek forgiveness for their sins while entering the sanctuary of Irija. The scholars and Holy men of Bani Israel followed the orders of hazrat Yooshe a.s and the ignorant people among them acted just opposite his commands.
74000 of ignorant people were killed when god inflicted disease of plague on them. Then they entered and conquered the city of AEE
Bani Israel exalted in the entire holy places .The kings around those territories got frightened and gathered together to form a powerful and innumerable force to kill Bani Israel.
They fought at the bank of the waters of Meerum. Then many great wars occurred between Yooshe a.s and the kings of the kingdoms around. Bani Israel bravely fought and defeated all the large troops of the kings and acquired the cities between Egypt and minor Asia.
At the time of Yooshe a.s death he called the chieftains of Bani Israil and told them his will and he spoke. "O people you witnessed the blessings of God. And to thank and his blessings you all worship one and single God and never dignify and praise other than him.
His followers replied "O Yooshe we never leave the obedience of God and we never accept the other gods other than almighty. At that time Yooshe a.s wrote these words in a book and kept beside the book of religious laws. He lifted a big stone and told his people "this the witness among all the tribes" and bid them farewell.
They returned to their lands. And after that he got ill and in 1693 BC he passed away.
After hazrat Yooshe a.s the entire Holy place was divided and every tribe possessed and acquired the areas around the promised holy lands.The Faraim tribe and Ma'ne tribe from the generation of Yusuf a.s settled in the middle of mountainous lands towards Jordan .And tribe of benjamin a.s brother of Yusuf a.s inhabited towards fertile valley of Irija and clan of Yahuda acquired the mountains areas in the west of bahr e almeet.And the two clans of Sham'oon and Levi tried to proceed more towards south and wanted to settle down in regions of Seeshem .May be they were over thrown or the remaining part of their family members may combined with other tribes.
The tribes of Yasakar,Aasir,Zailoon and Naftali settled in northern vast plains known as Batarz'eel in between lake Kazat and Faniqie.The two tribes Bani Ravban and Bani jaad dwelled in the eastern regions of Kal'aad in jordan.The tribe of Daan for a period of time were in search of land till hazrat Yooshe a.s with help of lot settled for them from the locality of other tribes and they resided there.The grave of hazrat Yooshe a.s is in Isfahan is a sacred place visited by pilgrims.

He invited people to the raligion of Hazrat Moosa a.s. His language was Hebrew.In the view of some his last resting place is at jabl Afraim where there is a tomb present by the name Yooshe.
