Awaiting the Global Government of Justice

“Certainly, We had written in the Psalms, after the Torah, Indeed My righteous servants shall inherit the earth." (Holy Qur'an 21:105)
Whatever God has promised is the absolute truth, and whether one likes it or not, it will sooner or later materialize.
In other words our Planet, after all that it has seen since Cain killed his brother Abel, and the tyrants that have terrorized mankind in every age and clime, including through the use of weapons of mass destruction such as the atomic bombs that the US so criminally dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, will one day witness peace prosperity and justice.
Does it mean that the devils in human form who are responsible for the past, present and future misery of mankind, would have a sudden change of heart and give up their evil pursuit of wars, exploitation, and corruption to become the virtuous servants of God?
This is nothing but a naïve assumption, especially in this age of scientific confusion when people have begun to doubt their own existence as a result of drifting away from morals, ethics, faith, spirituality and humanitarian values.
A closer scrutiny of the Words of God, especially of the holy Qur'an which we Muslims regard as the final and universally applicable heavenly scripture for all mankind ever since it was revealed to the Last and Greatest of Messengers, Prophet Muhammad (SAWA), unravels the fact that a Divinely Guided Reformer is needed to salvage humanity and lead it towards perfection.
He will not be a Prophet nor will bring a new code of shari'ah. As a matter of fact, he will be the reviver of the pure and pristine shari'ah of the Seal of Messengers.
This is the reason he is called Mahdi or Divinely Guided. And this was the reason Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) emphasized on this person who will be from among his Infallible Progeny, as all denominations of Islam believe.
For instance a hadith from the Prophet mentioned in the book Isbaat al-Huda of the great Shi'ite Muslim scholar, Moqaddas Ardabeli, reads: "The Mahdi who will be from among my descendants, from my family, will rise at the End of Time, while the heavens will pour rain and the earth will bring forth green grass for him. He will fill the earth with justice and equity as it is filled with tyranny and injustice."
Ibn Maja, the famous Sunni compiler of hadith quotes the Prophet as saying: “The promised Mahdi will be from among my family. God will make the provisions for his emergence within a single night.”
Thus there is no doubt that only the Expected Saviour will cleanse the Earth of all vestiges of corruption and oppression by establishing the global government of peace, prosperity, and justice.
Prophet Mohammad (SAWA) knew the havoc that would be played with Islamic teachings after him by pretenders claiming to be caliphs but savagely persecuting his progeny and confounding the fate of Muslims. He was informed by God of the courting of martyrdom by his righteous successors at the hands of those that would usurp political rule of the Islamic realm by depriving his cousin and son-in-law, Imam Ali (AS), of the divinely-decreed authority proclaimed at Ghadeer-Khom.
That is part of the reasons God has deferred the advent of Imam Mahdi (AS) until humanity comes of age and is ready to grasp the wisdom of Divine Laws.
Imam Mahdi (AS) thus needs no introduction. He is the 12th and last successor of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA). He is the son of Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS) – a fact that even Sunni scholars admit, such as Ibn Sabbagh al-Maleki in Fosoul al-Muhimma.
He was born on the 15th of Sha'ban in the year 255 AH in the city of Samarra in Iraq. His mother was the pure and pious Greek Byzantine lady, Narjes, descended on her mother’s side from Simeon, the prominent disciple and testamentary legatee of Prophet Jesus (AS) – who will also reappear, as all Muslims believe. He went into occultation, as a form of divine trial to rest humanity, and by the Will of God, Who had saved Jesus (AS) from crucifixion and kept him alive till this day, the 12th Infallible Successor of the Greatest Prophet, will reappear to cleanse the world of all vestiges of oppression and corruption.
He will reappear at the holy Ka'ba in Mecca from where the whole world will be informed of his advance. He will root out superstitions and distortions by reviving the pure and pristine message of Islam as taught by Prophet Muhammad (SAWA). He will proceed toward Iraq, where he will chose the city of Kufa as the seat of power of his global government of peace, prosperity and justice.
Imam Mahdi (AS) will defeat all evil forces and all deviant creeds and political systems throughout the world, and lead humanity towards progress that is beyond imagination.
I end this column with the following supplication that the faithful recite especially in the month of Ramadhan every night for materialization of God's promise in the heavenly scriptures: "O Allah, make Your religion prevail through him, as well as the sunnah of Your Prophet, until nothing that is true and genuine is kept concealed out of fear of any of the creatures. O Allah, we ardently beseech You to bring about the noble government through which You may strengthen Islam and its followers, and humble and humiliate the imposters, and appoint us in it to be among those who invite people to Your obedience and lead them to Your approved path, and grant us through that government dignity in this world and the Hereafter."
